The Annual Fiorilli Construction, Inc. Holiday Giving Tree donation is underway until December 12th, 2019. The giving tree is a small decorated Christmas tree that is currently in the building of Fiorilli Construction, Inc. The tree is filled with ornamental tags labeled with beneficial age-appropriate items for children in need. The items include:

  • Teen and Toddler Pajamas and Socks
  • Stuffed Animals
  • Gift Cards
  • Monetary Donations
  • Boy and Girl Blankets

The employees of Fiorilli Construction, Inc. will be participating by choosing a labeled tag from the tree and purchasing the item that is shown on the tag. All purchased items will be wrapped as gifts and placed under the Giving Tree. On December 12th, all gifts will be donated to The Children’s Center of Medina County. The children will be able to open the donated gifts for Christmas and keep the items.

“I look at my own two kids and am grateful every day to be blessed with the ability to provide a happy and healthy home for them, and think of all the children in our community that need help – when they hurt, we all hurt and we should help. I hope more community members will join us in the giving spirit this holiday season and support The Children’s Center. – Carmen Fiorilli, President & Visionary, Fiorilli Construction.

The Children’s Center of Medina County has a new state-of-the-art building with a medical exam room, a soundproof forensic interview room, a team viewing room where the child’s story can be observed, and four child-friendly, decorated playrooms for foster care visits. There are currently 70-80 children in county foster care, a 40% increase over the past year.

“Receiving donations for the families we serve is very impactful and provides the message to children and their families of how much their community cares for them.” – Rhonda Wurgler, Executive Director, The Children’s Center of Medina County

The Fiorilli Giving Tree is designed to bring awareness and much-needed items to children who have been abused or neglected. These children are likely separated from their families temporarily. Donations like these make the process a bit easier on the families and children while giving everyone an overall sense of being cared for and thought of.
