McDonald’s
Challenge – Traditionally, McDonald’s stores were being torn down and rebuilt in approximately 110 to 120 days. But a new initiative from corporate was set forth to deliver them in 80 days in order to expedite franchisee’s ability to recoup lost revenues faster after being out of commission.
Solution – Fiorilli Construction was asked to come onboard to the program for a fresh look and our very first project with a complete a teardown, underground detention systems, all new sitework and rebuild was done via lean construction sequencing and quadruple shifting schedules in 74 days, including 23 days of rain delay recoveries!
Results – Not only was the brand-new restaurant open on day 75 for business, Fiorilli was the first contractor to accomplish the new scheduling requirements, beat the schedule request by 5 days for the new program and picked up 45 days from all previous scheduling endeavors of the program in the past.
7 Brew - Columbus, OH
Challenge – – 7 Brew’s prefabricated building and accelerated 58-day schedule left little margin for disruption. When the original permanent-power plan threatened critical milestones, the issue had the potential to delay installation, inspections, and opening.
Solution – Fiorilli Construction reworked the electrical approach and coordinated an underground connection beneath Sawmill Road. At the same time, the team resequenced sitework around the prefabricated building delivery and aligned subcontractors, utilities, and vendors to prevent the power challenge from interrupting field progress.
Results – The project received its Certificate of Occupancy approximately one week ahead of the contractual completion date, with only minimal punch-list work remaining. Fiorilli’s ability to adapt quickly protected 7 Brew’s opening schedule and produced lessons that will further improve speed to market and predictability on future locations.
