On November 13th, 2024, the Grand Reopening and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony of the Medina County Veterans Service Office was held at 210 Northland Drive, Medina, Ohio.  Veterans, community leaders, and supporters gathered to celebrate this meaningful milestone.

A Project Rooted in Purpose

The Medina County Veterans Service Office project included a complete renovation of the office, the addition of a new garage, a thoughtfully designed walkway, and expanded meeting spaces. These enhancements were carefully planned to provide veterans with improved resources and a welcoming environment tailored to their needs.

As shared by our President Carmen Fiorilli, during the ceremony, "We are touched and honored to have been part of this incredible project. The pride, passion, and commitment of this community are evident, and it’s a privilege to contribute to a space that will serve the veterans of Medina County for many years to come." This project reflects our dedication to creating spaces that make a lasting impact.

Recognizing Leadership and Service

This project was guided by our Senior Project Manager, Brian Cohen, a Marine Corps Sergeant and Coast Guard Petty Officer First Class. Brian’s military background and leadership were instrumental in ensuring the project’s success. As Carmen noted, “Brian’s passion and dedication made a significant impact on the outcome of this project.”

Additionally, the renovation involved the expertise of veteran-owned companies, including North Star Carpentry, Eden’s Excavating, Painting Company, and Ranger Recovery. Their involvement brought an extra layer of meaning to this project, symbolizing service, unity, and community pride.

A Symbol of Gratitude

To commemorate this milestone, Fiorilli Construction presented a custom keepsake to Medina County Veterans Service Office. This meaningful piece, now displayed in the newly renovated space, serves as a heartfelt symbol of gratitude for the service and sacrifices of the county’s veterans. As Carmen Fiorilli expressed, “We hope it will be a meaningful symbol of appreciation for every veteran who walks through these doors.”

The Grand Re-Opening was more than just a celebration of a completed renovation. It honored the enduring commitment to the men and women who have given so much for our country. This newly enhanced facility provides expanded services and a supportive environment, ensuring it will benefit the community for years to come.

The event was also featured by the Medina Gazette, highlighting the importance of the updated facility and its benefits for local veterans. Read the article here.
