Building spaces is one thing—but building hope is something far more meaningful. In a recent community event, Fiorilli Construction had the honor of partnering with Haven Makers to transform a child’s room into a warm, joyful, and personalized retreat.
About Haven Makers
Haven Makers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating thoughtful bedroom makeovers for children ages 2 to 17 recovering from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. Their mission is simple but powerful: to provide children with a comforting space to rest, recover, and feel like themselves again.
Each room is designed with the child’s personality in mind—complete with elements they love, colors that inspire calm, and layouts that support rest and play. With the help of dedicated volunteers and generous sponsors, these transformations are completed at no cost to the families, made possible entirely through community support, donations, and heart-driven design.
A Hello Kitty Haven
The room already reflected the child’s personality—bright, full of character, and filled with the things she loved. Our goal was to take that joyful foundation and turn it into something even more special: a Hello Kitty haven she could truly call her own.
With soft pinks, themed décor, fresh paint, and new furniture, the room was transformed into a cozy and cheerful retreat. Storage was added to help keep things organized, and gentle lighting helped create a more calming atmosphere. Every detail, from bedding to wall art, was chosen with her favorite character and comfort in mind.
The result is a space that still feels familiar but now offers more room to rest, play, and recharge—a room that brings joy in both its design and its purpose.

This collaboration was more than just a project—it was a reminder of the impact that care, creativity, and community can have. We’re grateful to Haven Makers for leading with heart and to everyone who helped bring this Hello Kitty haven to life.
